Couples & Relationship Therapy

We are hard wired for connection, as attachment theorists would put it. A fundamental part of our neurobiological development and well-being is tied to our ability to connect with other people and experience things like intimacy, trust, safety, security, and love.

I see couples for a variety of reasons, from addressing dissatisfaction, loneliness, disconnection, and ambivalence to issues around sex, infidelity, and physical intimacy. We might work on marriage preparation, deepening connection, communication skills, conflict de-escalation, or how to negotiate differences and manage crises.

I have trained in a variety of couples modalities including Emotion Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

I welcome people from all backgrounds to my practice, including couples from the LGBTQ+ community and clients in polyamorous relationships.
